On May 17, 2017, a financial advisory firm, Public Financial Management (PFM), delivered an update to Houston City Council regarding reccomendations for the Houston Fire Department's (HFD) service delivery model.

In response, the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association (HPFFA), IAFF Local 341, responded to address the numerous falsehoods and inaccuracies the report contained.
